Its official, my sister has finally succombed to the family curse, I'm going to help her pick out her first pair of glasses tomorrow! MWAHAHAHAHA! Now I'm not alone in my blindness! I kina feel bad for her, but not too bad since she only needs them for night driving and to read the black board, she's got a long way to go til she achieves my level of extreme nearsightedness... if thats supposed to all be one long word.

In other news, adam is planning on going on the camping trip from hell with some of his software buddies, and I'm debating whether or not to join him. The deal is that its supposed to be a five day hiking trip in new york state, which involves carrying absolutely everything we'd need for the enitre time, counting all the water. I think five days of water seems too heavy for me. There's other issues of course, like the no shower, no bathroom, the tons of bugs and having to wear long pants to keep them away in hot hot weather... overall it sounds like i'd come home gross and smelly and half eaten by bugs. One part of me would really really like to go since we've never gone on a real trip together, but theres the other part of me that really really doesnt want to go. And i think that the not wanting to go part is a lot bigger.

That's about it, besides the fact that I'm going to see charlie and the chocolate factory on friday. It looks like one big acid trip, so that should be an interesting experience, Rachel might have to hold my hand if i get scared. I'm torn between my love of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton and how scary it looks... best of luck to me!

That totally doesn't sound like a camping trip. That sounds like something software engineers would do to prove that they're "real men" or an episode of fear factor or something. I'm all for the outdoor thing as I'm going camping myself, and the whole backpacking thing could be romantic...*shakes head* Oh wait never mind, wrong story.

See Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Caleb's completely wrong here. The biggest problem with the old version is that it wasnt insane enough. Gene Wilder was great (and the Oompa loompas' song was amusing) but a Roald Dahl book needs people as insane as Tim Burton to bring it to the screen. Besides, this time the Oompaloompas have a different song and dance for every kids demise (Such as a Bollywood number, or heavy metal :) )

As for the camping, Andrea said it best "That sounds like something software engineers would do to prove that they're 'real men'..."

LOL!
